A DREAM WE DREAM TOGETHER IS A REALITY

HELP people - LIFT communities

Helplift Network was founded in August 2008.  The aim was and still is to serve the community with the gifts and talents of Christian believers.  Since 2009, the Helplift concept enabled us to successfully link Givers with the needs of the communities in Pretoria.  The impact has grown to such extent, that we decided to make this simple concept available to all communities in South Africa.  In order to boost the development on a national scale, the concept was further enhanced to be generic and practical for all spheres of society.   We are grateful to have grown into an effective and practical Network that links the resources of givers to the needs of the community on a local, regional and national level.

In 2016 we partnered with Meet the Need Ministries (United States) who provided us with a Local and Regional network platform for individuals, businesses, organisations and churches in South Africa.

In 2017 we partnered with the Talent Mangement and Research Niche Area at the North West University (GIFT) to share with us their expertise in the development of gift and talent based communities.  This also applies to talent based training and projects in South Africa.

A resource management concept

Helplift Network is based on many years of research and experience in mobilising churches (various denominations), businesses and organisations for Kingdom impact in South Africa.  We specialise in resource management by assisting churches, schools,  businesses, interest groups and organisations with the mobilisation of all local resources and talents to serve communities.  We do this by inspiring, synchronising and celebrating acts of compassion through professional networking solutions.

We inspire and enable passionate people to start their own networks and to cooperate and participate in the development of their communities.  In practice, this means that we offer the required tools and platforms needed to establish an effective network between resources and the needs of the community.   Each institution has the privilege to facilitate, administrate and manage their own network to the benefit of the needy and welfare organisations in their communities.

A catalyst for compassion in action

Helplift is developed to function as a catalyst (an idea and a practice) which interacts with any sphere in society in order to accelerate and increase their rate of effectiveness in compassionate action.   Helplift is “sticky” because it is surprisingly simple, starts small, enhances significance and is spread via relationships.

Through our experience, we realised that communities do not become "caring and sharing" by attending seminars, courses, conferences and retreats about the subject.  Instead, they develop community spirit and neighbourliness by practising it within relationships and by experiencing its benefits firsthand.   We discovered that when you believe in the capability and creativity of people and entrust them with gift-based opportunities to serve, you help them to move beyond their perceived potential.

Helplift exists to inspire and enable people to help people and to create caring and sharing communities.

As a registered PBO we have to comply with strict corporate governance rules.

Our aim is to mobilise faith communities with the Helplift concept and in doing so create a network for participation and cooperation.

In line with our constitution and policy of transparency we do not ask anything for what we offer, not do we take any commissions on resources linked.
